CCTV cameras Council of London and Westminster to be Cut

Fixed CCTV cameras in central London are being Cut to save £2.7m.

The Westminster City Council used 75 cameras in the first place to support the police operations rather than a deterrent.
The cameras will continue in the field of transport in London, private foundations and developments in the work.
The council said in his cameras, which require an update of 1.7 million pounds, the cost of 1 million pounds a year to run.
Cameras will be removed when the current contract with the security firm G4S ends in September.
The Council is now working with the police, the Greater London Authority and other areas to find a solution for the whole of London.
Said Nickie Aiken, a member of the Council of Ministers to protect the public, "like many other local authorities across the country, the current view we have is that we can not continue to support this service illegally, when there are many other pressures on our budgets and where other partners are the main beneficiaries.
